Laura Muirhead, Community Cultivation Manager, Tribal Toronto

Laura Muirhead joined DDB Canada in March 2011 as a Community Cultivation Manager with Tribal Toronto. Since then, Laura has grown into a leadership role as the Manager of the Community Cultivation offering for the Toronto office. Laura plans and oversees the execution of content marketing and community programs for clients, defining content and community strategy that maps to business objectives and satisfies audience needs.

Laura’s previous role was with Edelman Digital, where her work focused on analytics and social media community strategy development. In her role as a Senior Account Executive, Laura optimized Edelman’s social media crisis and issues management offering, as well as developed the service offerings for conversation analysis and community management.

Laura has a wide range of social media experience through working on multinational accounts across several industries, including financial, QSR, CPG and healthcare. Some clients she has worked with include McDonald’s Canada, Manulife Financial, Canadian Tire, WIND Mobile, Pfizer, Labatt Breweries of Canada, RIM, Johnson and Johnson, Unilever, Starbucks, and more. She is a regular contributor to the DDB Canada blog, manages @TribalToronto, and is the former community manager for Edelman.ca and @EdelmanTO.

Laura holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario in Media, Information and Technoculture, and in her spare time enjoys taking in the sights and sounds of Toronto’s vibrant arts community.
